Throughout all of the challenges these last 9 months, I also celebrated one of the happiest days of my life, marrying my bestest friend! K and I vowed our love and loyalty to each other in front of our closest family and friends, on a perfect April afternoon. The sun was shining, the sky was a color blue that you see in movies and there was a slight breeze that made the tall trees shuffle just a tad. The landscaping that surrounded the property was the perfect shade of green, with lush plants and blossoming flowers. The giant balloons that directed our guests to our ceremony swayed ever so gently, the gold chairs beaming against a dreamily draped Chuppah.
Gold and cream adorned the tables, with the most luscious bubblegum pink, coral, and green arrangements in beautiful gold vessels. Our menu was delectable and the desserts were legendary, I think there were nine cakes, all different flavors. Four ounce jars of honey, each tied with a gold silk ribbon were given to each guest. After all of the traditional wedding events, K and I snuck off with our photographers to capture some great photos. Our guests danced while we were away, but as soon as we returned it was my turn on the dance floor and that’s where I remained the entire night. Side Note: my second dress was my mother’s dress from twenty odd years ago. I added some straps and a slit and it was the most amazing reception dress to dance in!
Thank you to my amazing parents who made the day possible and far surpassed anything we every dreamed.
